Fender released the Johnny Marr Jaguar as a ground-up redesign by one of the model's most detail-oriented modern champions, and it is widely treated as one of the best production Jaguars Fender has made. Custom-wound pickups, a four-way switching system with bright option, revised vibrato placement and a Mustang-style bridge solve many classic Jaguar complaints without flattening the instrument into something generic. On the used market, originality is crucial because the switching and hardware package is the whole point, and early runs or scarce finishes usually bring a premium.
