Fender American Vintage Jaguar
Aftermarket Price History
Used-market sales only. Brand New listings excluded.
The American Vintage Jaguar line was Fender's high-accuracy U.S. reissue platform before American Original and Vintage II, aimed at buyers who wanted a close period-correct build without entering Custom Shop money. Lacquer finishes, vintage-radius boards, correct switching and era-specific pickup voicing are what separate these from later modernized offsets and explain why they sit higher in the market. On the used side, year and spec correctness weigh nearly as much as condition, and changed bridges, rewired controls or missing case candy can pull values down quickly. This is the page vintage-minded players watch when they want a serious reissue that still costs less than an actual 1960s Jaguar.

Market Report
Used examples typically trade between $1,900 and $2,500; anything under $1,875 is worth a close look. Prices are down 2.6% vs. 12 months ago. The market is predictable month to month.
This is a slow-moving market at ~5/month. Sellers may wait longer for the right buyer; don't expect a quick flip.
Condition has a moderate effect on price (~22% spread from clean to worn). Player-grade examples represent reasonable value.
Related models
The newer U.S. reissue program: updated vintage-spec choices and lacquer finishing, at a higher price.
Modern-player U.S. Jaguar at a lower price: drops the reissue brief in favor of stage practicality.
Master-built step up: for buyers who have outgrown the precision of a production-line reissue.
