The American Vintage Jaguar line was Fender's high-accuracy U.S. reissue platform before American Original and Vintage II, aimed at buyers who wanted a close period-correct build without entering Custom Shop money. Lacquer finishes, vintage-radius boards, correct switching and era-specific pickup voicing are what separate these from later modernized offsets and explain why they sit higher in the market. On the used side, year and spec correctness weigh nearly as much as condition, and changed bridges, rewired controls or missing case candy can pull values down quickly. This is the page vintage-minded players watch when they want a serious reissue that still costs less than an actual 1960s Jaguar.
