The American Professional Jaguar was Fender's attempt to make a U.S. Jaguar behave like a daily-driver stage guitar instead of a delicate reissue. V-Mod pickups, a friendlier neck spec, revised bridge hardware and a more streamlined control approach push it toward working-musician practicality while keeping the short scale and offset identity intact. Used prices move mostly on condition and originality, with color usually secondary to whether the trem, bridge and electronics are stock and sorted. Buyers land here when they want a Jaguar they can actually gig hard, and it often makes more practical sense than a more correct but fussier reissue.
