Gibson Custom Shop J-45
Aftermarket Price History
Used-market sales only. Brand New listings excluded.
The J-45 Custom Shop page is where Gibson's most famous slope-shoulder acoustic gets judged on execution rather than just on name recognition. Buyers here care about how the build was done, how tastefully it was finished and whether the instrument still feels like a top-tier Gibson flat-top. Structural cleanliness matters because this is supposed to be the higher-confidence version of a guitar people already trust.

Market Report
Used examples typically trade between $2,675 and $3,325; anything under $2,675 is worth a close look. Some price variation month to month, but within a normal range.
This is a slow-moving market at ~5/month. Sellers may wait longer for the right buyer; don't expect a quick flip.
Condition matters here — worn examples sell for roughly 44% less than clean ones. Prioritize a good example if you plan to resell.

Lower-priced vintage-spec production: ladder bracing and period-correct construction without the Custom Shop premium.
War-era period reissue at a higher price: the most historically specific J-45 for serious vintage-spec buyers.
High-profile signature at a similar price: a different brief — rock pedigree over vintage purity.
