The American Ultra Telecaster is Fender's premium modern production Tele, aimed at players who want the company's most ergonomic and noise-free factory Tele without going Custom Shop. Ultra Noiseless pickups, compound-radius neck shaping, sculpted contours and expanded switching make it a very different proposition from vintage-style Teles or even the American Professional II. On the used market, originality of the electronics package does most of the work, while finish choice usually trails overall condition and completeness. It is built for players who want Tele identity plus modern convenience, and the market treats it like a high-end working instrument.
