A Stratocaster partscaster is best understood as a Strat assembled from non-original or non-matching parts, usually with a neck and body that did not leave Fender together and often with aftermarket electronics or hardware. That makes this page different from a normal Strat submodel page, because the component list, assembly quality and setup tell you more than the decal on the headstock. On the used market, neck and body provenance, fretwork, wiring quality and how coherent the build is do most of the work, while seller stories about premium parts only count if the actual parts list is documented. These are player guitars first, and they usually price below an equivalent all-original factory Strat even when they play better.
