The American Performer Mustang is Fender's U.S.-made short-scale offset for players who want a production Mustang that feels current rather than purely nostalgic. Yosemite single-coils, modern neck specs and the factory Dynamic Vibrato setup are the key pieces here, because they keep the model recognizably Mustang while making it a more confident working guitar than many reissue-style versions. On the used market, originality and clean condition do most of the pricing work, especially around the trem and electronics, while finish rarity is secondary.
