The American Original Jazzmaster was Fender's U.S.-made vintage-leaning offset for players who wanted classic Jazzmaster identity with just enough modern playability built in. Pure Vintage-style pickups, lacquer finish, proper rhythm-circuit layout and old-school trem placement keep it grounded in 1960s Jazzmaster design, while the slightly more forgiving neck spec makes it easier to live with than a stricter reissue. On the used market, originality and setup carry more weight than small cosmetic wear, because buyers want a guitar that still delivers the exact reason this model exists. It is a player-oriented reissue, and clean, unmodified examples are the ones that stay strongest.
