Fender Blacktop Jaguar
Aftermarket Price History
Used-market sales only. Brand New listings excluded.
The Blacktop Jaguar was Fender's 2010s hot-rod version of the platform, built for players who liked Jaguar ergonomics but wanted humbucker output and less vintage complexity. Its high-output pickups, simpler control layout and more forgiving modern setup put it closer to an alternative-rock workhorse than a surf-correct offset, which is exactly why it prices differently from American Vintage or Vintera models. On the used market, pickup swaps, stripped wiring and missing original hardware hurt more than finish wear because buyers usually want the factory Blacktop formula. It remains one of the cheaper ways into a Fender-shaped Jaguar that handles gain well.

Market Report
Used examples typically trade between $675 and $825; anything under $650 is worth a close look. Some price variation month to month, but within a normal range.
This model rarely comes to market at ~4/month. When one does appear, expect less room to negotiate on price.
Condition has a moderate effect on price (~17% spread from clean to worn). Player-grade examples represent reasonable value.

An older modernized Jaguar at a higher price: single-coils and different hardware — more vintage-leaning than the Blacktop.
Higher-end stripped rock Jaguar: similar high-output brief with Tune-o-matic hardware and short-scale feel, at a higher price.
