Gibson SG Special
Aftermarket Price History
Used-market sales only. Brand New listings excluded.
The SG Special often hits the sweet spot in the SG family: less expensive than a Standard, more serious than a novelty or student model, and usually easier to buy on purpose than by compromise. It appeals to players who want an SG as a tool, not an icon. Honesty and condition matter more here than ornate spec.

Market Report
Used examples typically trade between $900 and $1,275; anything under $900 is worth a close look. Prices are down 4.0% vs. 12 months ago. The market is predictable month to month.
This is a liquid market at ~38/month in recent sales — buyers have leverage and can afford to wait for the right example.
Condition has a moderate effect on price (~13% spread from clean to worn). Player-grade examples represent reasonable value.
