Gibson Vintage Explorer
Price by model year
This page covers vintage Explorers from rare korina-era references through pre-2000 reissues and later production, so it is more of an era map than one single market bucket. True 1958-spec instruments and faithful reissues attract collectors, while later mahogany Explorers often trade more on condition, originality and whether the guitar captures the right hard-rock feel. Buyers here care about the obvious things first: no broken-headstock surprises, no stripped hardware, and no pickup swaps that turn a real Explorer into a generic metal guitar.
