The Broadcaster is Fender's earliest two-pickup Tele-family template, and any reissue or reproduction under that name carries more historical weight than an ordinary vintage-style Tele. The defining traits are the earliest blackguard-style construction choices, which place it closer to the birth of the whole Fender solidbody idea than to a later, more settled Telecaster formula. On the used market, year-correct details, bridge and saddle spec and overall faithfulness weigh nearly as much as condition, while later mods hurt badly because the audience is detail-focused.
