JV Modified Strats are Japanese-made hybrid instruments that deliberately blend vintage Fender styling with modern playability and switching ideas. That mix is the whole point: they are not strict reissues, but they also are not anonymous contemporary Strats, and that middle ground is what gives them a distinct used-market audience. On the used market, country of origin, clean condition and stock electronics carry more weight than rare finishes, because buyers are usually shopping the JV concept itself. They appeal to players who want Japanese fit and finish plus more personality than a standard production Strat.
