Fender Ed O'Brien Stratocaster
Aftermarket Price History
Used-market sales only. Brand New listings excluded.
The Ed O'Brien Stratocaster is a signature designed around ambient and textural playing rather than around conventional vintage-Strat hero worship. The Fernandes sustainer system, artist-specific pickup complement and modern hardware choices are the important details, because they make the instrument function differently from almost every other Fender production Strat. On the used market, originality is critical, especially around the sustainer electronics, since any missing or altered parts undercut the reason buyers look for this model. It is a niche tool, but for the right player it offers something no standard Strat really substitutes for.

Market Report
Used examples typically trade between $1,325 and $1,750; anything under $1,300 is worth a close look. Prices are up +47.7% vs. 12 months ago. Some price variation month to month, but within a normal range.
This is a slow-moving market at ~6/month. Sellers may wait longer for the right buyer; don't expect a quick flip.
The market isn't particularly condition-sensitive (~2% spread). A player-grade example trades close to a clean one.
