The Big Apple Strat is a late-1990s American hot-rod Strat that stands out because it put a factory dual-humbucker layout into a U.S. Strat before that became a normal production idea. Its defining spec is the pair of humbuckers on a Strat platform, which gives it a very different market position from standard single-coil American models of the same era. On the used market, pickup originality counts a lot because the factory electronics are the whole reason buyers seek this model out, while finish and normal wear trail that. It is a niche but respected hard-rock Strat, and clean examples have a loyal following.
