American Vintage II Stratocasters are Fender's current year-specific U.S. reissues, built to go harder on historical accuracy than the broader American Original program did. Era-correct pickups, lacquer finishes, period neck shapes and the right hardware package are the real value drivers here, because buyers are paying for fidelity rather than for convenience or versatility. On the used market, originality is everything, and complete examples with the proper case and paperwork hold up best because the customer is usually detail-oriented. This is the line for buyers who want a new Strat that behaves as much like a particular old Strat as Fender can reasonably make.

The American Vintage II (2022+) commands a premium in the $1499–$2236 range. Color, year, and condition all affect price meaningfully — the spread between a common finish and a sought-after one is real.
Still establishing its secondhand floor. The upper range appears to be softening as supply builds. Patient buyers can find used examples at $1500–$1700; don't rush to pay $2000+ unless the spec is exactly what you want.
